NAS De-worming Exercise

Dec 19, 2014 | Events

A de-worming exercise targeted at primary schools was carried out recently by members of NAS in various states.

The purpose of activity was to deworm and remove worm infestations from the pupils including teaching and non-teaching staff. Ultimately, the exercise was carried out to address the poor health and nutritional indices of mother and children, as well as fast track health dimensions of Millennium Development Goals 4 and 5. Secondly, it was meant to compliment the effort of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA) which partners with UNICEF.
