Traders get free medical check-up

Dec 9, 2008 | News

Traders at Alade Market on Allen Avenue, Ikeja, Lagos State were beneficiaries of a free medical service put together by members of the National Association of Seadogs (NAS).

The Ikeja sub-zone of NAS provided the free medical services which included blood pressure and sugar level checks.

The people were also given free anti-malaria, multivita-mins and other drugs.

No fewer than 400 traders, residents and passers-by checked their blood pressure and sugar level.

Some of the beneficiaries said the exercise had given them the opportunity to carry out checks; a situation they said was not done regularly because of their busy schedule.

One of the beneficiaries of the exercise, Mrs. Tawa Umaru, said she took advantage of the situation because it was free and close to her shop.
