The National Association of Seadogs (NAS), Aqua Kanata Deck in Toronto, proudly presented a cheque of Fourteeen Thousand Dollars ($14,000.00 Canadian Dollars) to SickKids Foundation Canada on Saturday, November 12, 2022.
The amount presented was raised from the 26th Zeros Konverge NAS Charity Redball in support of a local charity that benefits the community. The event was held on June 24th, 2022 at the Sheraton Hotel in Toronto, Canada.
The NAS delegation, led by Mr. Chuks Imahiagbe (Capoon) and Dr. Dele Jemirade, presented the cheque of $14,000.00 Canadian Dollars to SickKids Foundation Canada representative, Ms. Samantha Teasdale (Co-ordinator, Community Partnerships).
In accepting the Cheque from NAS Aqua Kanata Deck, the representative for SickKids Foundation Canada, commended the outstanding work of the deck in fulfilling its humanistic ideals. She confirmed that the generous donation from the deck will support the highest priority needs of the Hospital for sick children which includes important research work, procuring equipment and supporting Doctors to fulfil the mandates of the hospital.
Ms. Samantha Teasdale, in her concluding statement on behalf of SickKids Foundation, stated that without the generous contributions and collaborative partnerships with organizations like NAS Aqau Kanata Deck, it would be impossible to invest in health and scientific advances that would improve the lives of children and their families in Canada and around the world.
