Shop with a Cop and the 4th Compass Point

As we approach the holiday season, the National Association Of Seadogs (Pyrates Confraternity) Pentagun Deck is proud to partner for the second year with the Greenbelt Police Department in Maryland, USA, for the “Shop with a Cop” initiative. This program provides local children from disadvantaged backgrounds with the opportunity to shop for holiday gifts alongside police officers, creating a sense of unity, compassion, and care.

Officers connect with these young members of our community, going beyond their official duties to show kindness and build trust. Together, they shop for essentials and holiday gifts, fostering a spirit of generosity and mutual respect. This experience ensures that children not only receive much-needed items but also feel valued and supported, reinforcing the idea that our community stands with them.

The program reinforces the idea of protecting and uplifting the most vulnerable members of society, which is central to our 4th compass point – for comradeship & chivalry.

Thus, we often say:
For Comradeship & Chivalry, we reject: “To him who hath, more shall be given.”
Instead, we proclaim: “To him who hath not, ALL shall be provided.”

We solicit your support as we seek to raise $1500 for this program by November 16th, 2024. Seadogs would subsequently participate with the gift wrapping at the Greenbelt fire station.
