NNPC in Major Management Shake-up

There has been a major shake-up in the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) where its top management staff were reposted en mass. Also affected are subsidiaries of the establishment.

This is coming only a few months to the end of the NNPC as a legal entity.

In the reorganisation, the Managing Director of Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company (KPRC), Mr. Victor Mukoro, will now take over from Mr. Chris Ogiemwonyi as the Managing Director of Nigerian Gas Company (NGC) while Ogiemwonyi becomes Group Executive Director.

For KPRC its new MD is M.O. Agoro, Executive Director, Operations of  KPRC; the MD  of Port Harcourt Refining and Company (PHRC), S.O. Alabi, has been posted to Greenfield as Group General Manager (GGM) while Sulaiman Achimugu has been moved from PPMC as MD to become GGM of the Renewable Energy Division (RED) Exploration and Production, at the NNPC Headquarters.

A reliable source said that the MD of Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company (WRPC) W.O. Ayangbile, is going to Abuja as Group Executive Director, Engineering to be replaced by A. Yakubu, General Manager (TS ETD) of PHRC  as the new helmsman of the WRPC.

Others affected by the postings are S.B. Abdullahi E.D.O  PHRC becomes the MD of PHRC; P. Obelley, Manager Engineering and Technical Service Division (ETSD) PHRC who will now be E.D.O of PHRC and Mr. Stanley, MD of Hyson ( a joint venture between NNPC and Vitol S.A. Swiss International Crude Oil and Products Trading Company) as been elevated to MD  of Petroleum and Pipeline Products Marketing Company (PPMC).

U.F. Bello, the MD of   NIKORMA (a Joint Venture Company with NNPC on marine transportation) will be Executive Director, Commercial of PPMC.

It was confirmed that Dr. Levi C. Ajuonuma (GGM, GPAD) has been promoted Group General Manager, College of Petroleum Studies, Kaduna, while O.U. Egbuta (Mrs.) now heads to IDSL as ED of Services.

However, Mr. U. Muhammad, Manager Processing, is now to move to London office as GM Mr. J.A. Akande, group GGM of the Nigerian Content Division (NCD) is to proceed on retirement. O.A. Anyaoku moves as GGM (RED) to GED (R&P) as Mr S. Ladan, Deputy MD, Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) is posted out as GED Investment.

S .O Oyegun, Manager, PPL.ROW is now ED Operations at PPMC and A.U Babangida GM government relations to EDS, PPMC.
G.G. Etare, GM Headquarters Accounts has now jumped to the post ED Finance, PPMC. M.I. Mahmud swaps position with him.
O.Omoyola GM E/P-R&D becomes ED Operations at Integrated Digital Services Limited (IDSL), Benin A.Y. Gide, Area Manager, PPMC, Warri now becomes E.D.O of KPRC. Ms. J.L Phillips, EDS, IDSL is now EDS, KPRC.

M.O. Oti, the D.D.O of PPMC now goes to WRPC in the same capacity. B. Koko (EDS, KPRC) becomes the MD of Hyson; Dr. M.K. Baru, GGM of Greenfield is now GGM NAPIMS, while A.K. Adeyemo moves from IDSL as E.D.O to become GM of Production Sharing Contracts of NAPIMS from I.V. Brigs.

On his part, F.A.Abbiyesuku, General Manager, Retail, will take over as DMD, NLNG; S.A. Mohammed, (Manager, LOD, NGC) is now E.D.O of NGC; I. Dandume (manger, ETSD, KPRC) heads that office as GM. G.O. Osahon, G.G.M. NAPIMS goes to NCD in the same capacity. Also going there is B. Tafida (from E.D.O, WRPC) as general manager. O. Akanni, GGM Investment is now G.M.D (STA).

 M.M Bello (GM, NCD) becomes GM, Projects, B.A. Ayodele, manager turn around maintenance is now GM-GMD, Downstream while Mrs. M. Makinde (GM, REID,CPDD), is now GM, CTQD. Mrs. E. Olubanjo GM Corporate Total Quality Department   (CTQD) is now GM, REID (CPDD). Ms. A. Abdurrahman EDS, PPMC goes as EDS, Hyson while Mrs. A. Abdullahi, GM, PID moves to Investment as GGM and A.A. Balogun (GGM, LO) heads for New Business as GGM.

Others are Z. Abdurrahman (GM Investment) to GGM, Retail, E. Ejekam, GM Media to GM, PID, G.O. Ahore, EDS Hyson to GM, Retail, M.A. Babalola GM, OPS L/O to GM Investment, S. C. Okereke, GM commercial PPMC to MD, NIKORMA, A.A. Odusina (E.D.O, NGC) to GM, R&D. All of them are to assume their new offices next week.
