Nomadic education receives boost in Cross River As Seadogs donate to school

National Association of Seadogs (NAS), Cross River State Chapter has donated a water project to Government Nomadic Primary School, Nassarawa community in Calabar municipality.
 
The project is expected to benefit about 1000 pupils.
Head Teacher of the school, Umaru Musa, commended the leadership of NAS stressing, “we have been crying for water for our pupils for long. This scheme will serve more than 1000 of our pupils thereby facilitating learning.”
 
Similarly, Alhaji Sani Baba-Gombe, who spoke on behalf of the community said, “for many years, we had toiled and cried out for water, but I was surprised that NAS elected to site this project here to alleviate our sufferings.
 
“Water is the most important thing to man. Today, you have given us water, and you have given us life because water is life. Both non-indigenes and indigenes are here together as one. We thank you for saving lives through this project.”
 
Before commissioning the project, National President of NAS, Prince Ifeanyi Onochie, explained that the organization seeks to improve the welfare of neglected people with provision of social amenities so as to make life meaningful”.
 
Onochie disclosed that siting the project in the school premises was to service both the pupils and the entire”.
 
He urged the pupils and the community at large to take care of the project, adding that the organization would always look for ways of improving the life of residents of particularly, the rural dwellers.
